Kadin's never tapped into his energy reserves like this. He's no longer panicking because he's too busy being shocked. He still can't breathe but it feels like he has enough air. Discomfort everywhere is lessened even as he still clearly feels the rubber compressing him. He still feels what's happening but where things were starting to hurt before have just become uncomfortable instead.

He opens his mouth, half expecting to be able to speak. Nothing comes out. He tries moving next, but only accomplishes a wiggle. The extreme heat is gone now, his skin color shifting back to normal. He wants to ask what's going on. He's used the energy to heal before but it never hit him like this. He might be impossibly restrained but he feels stronger than he ever has before.
